7 Tips for Increasing Your Follower Numbers

Social media can seemingly take the entire day leaving little time for other matters.  However, with the right tools and strategies in place, it’s easy to steadily build your number of followers while pursuing your goals for career or business.

Time Allotment:

Be of the mindset to focus on your top 3 favorite sites for a concentrated effort.  Should apps be available for you phone, these are highly recommended, as they tend to enhance efficiencies.  In particular, when you are waiting for a meeting to begin or while standing in line, these are perfect opportunities to bring up the app to take care of business.

Twitter:  

Should you be a writer of blogs, articles and/or books, take the more important lines from these to adapt to meaningful tweets.  Add two hash-tags after each tweet for an increase in views.   25-30% of the time, add a link to your products and services, so that twitter followers will know exactly what you have to offer, while 70-75% of the time simply share your best advice.

Blog:  

The WordPress platform lends efficiency provides automatic posting to social platforms once you press, “publish”.   Likewise, links to your other activities such as YouTube will increase readership and viewership at the same time.

YouTube:

Create a YouTube channel for viewers to get to know you and hear your information first hand.  Once the videos are created, you may post them in the middle of your blogs and articles, or share on other sites.

LinkedIn:  

Connect with people in your field and in complementary fields.  Should uncertainty be yours in regard to connecting, read the other person’s profile to see if it’s of interest.  An excellent strategy is to ask to connect with people who have already achieved the level of expertise where you see yourself headed.

Articles:

Sometimes the opportunity to write for a collaborative effort that distributes your articles will arise.   Another venue is LinkedIn Pulse.  Publishing an 800-word document with a picture or two may produce record numbers of readers.

Promotion:

Promotion, branding and marketing overlap one another and the idea of doing all of it by yourself may be very overwhelming.   But by joining a group dedicated to helping one another, and willing to re-post for each other, will provide you with a much wider distribution of exponential proportion.

When you take the time to figure out which venues play to your strengths, you intermingle these, and join a group of likeminded people to promote one another, you will have a power branding program in place with followers rising in numbers very quickly.
