The power of Thank You moves mountains when it comes to business

Our Thanksgiving Holiday is almost upon us. The purpose is to give thanks and acknowledge those in our lives. Share the goodwill by including everyone who agreed to do business with you; it is the most powerful sales tool of all.

System

Do you have a system in place to thank past clients as well as current prospects and clients? Everyone likes to be remembered and to be told “thank you”. The how doesn’t matter nearly as much as the fact that you do it at every opportunity.

e-cards

Review your records and database regarding everyone with whom you spent some time. It can get very pricey and especially time consuming if you have a long list to send traditional cards. This is where e-cards are effective and appreciated.

Phone Calls

Make it a point to call the clients with whom you do frequent business and those you particularly enjoy. Make a point of asking their plans for the holidays and conclude with letting it be known their business is appreciated.

eMail

Write a unique and personal email thanking the recipient for their business. And let them know that you appreciate having the relationship.

Social Media

Write a brief personal message thank the person for sharing your posts and being so supportive. Acknowledge you are glad you became acquainted.

Meetings

Every meeting should begin with a thank you for the time scheduled, and end with a thank you for the time spent. During the holiday season, be certain to ask everyone in a meeting if they have special plans.

Lunch

Treat your favorite clients to lunch to express appreciation in person. Keep business talk to a minimum in order to build the personal portion of the relationship.

Gifts

Larger organizations provide gifts to their clients. Most entrepreneurs do not have the budget to do so. The true gift is in how you respectfully treat others and show appreciation with sincerity.
