Why did Elinor Stutz begin her company, Smooth Sale?

She was horrified by her treatment in the male-dominated sales office where she first landed after spending 15 years as a stay-at-home mother. The men did everything they could to force her out. But Elinor refused to go!

Against all odds, Elinor became the top producer of the office within four months. She held that title throughout her 11 year corporate sales career. Her client roster included Sony, Visa and U.S. Geological Survey.

Now, CEO of Smooth Sale and Author, she has transformed her highly successful sales career into a sales training company.

Smooth Sale, LLC was begun to help aspiring business and salespeople avoid the difficult learning curve and overcome the fear of selling by sharing her proven relationship selling techniques. Men and Women alike exclaim her system is natural and easy to implement, and most importantly, greatly increased their revenue stream!

Elinor's book, “Nice Girls DO Get the Sale” was featured in TIME Magazine, translated into multiple languages and is selling worldwide.  Elinor interviewed on ABC-TV KGO San Francisco “View from the Bay”, numerous radio shows.

Elinor is also a Contributing Author to Bay Area BusinessWoman News, Habla Blog and Diversity Edge Magazine .

How did the name Smooth Sale come about?

As a teenager, Elinor's daughter carefully listened to all of her mother’s field stories. She heard tales of difficulties in the sales offices, complications encountered with clients and corporate bureaucracy. Nonetheless, her daughter saw her Mom succeed in earning awards of every type including President’s Club. In her eyes, it was always a Smooth Sale for Mom!

“Your persistence, strategic thinking and your courage became very clear to me and continue to stay with me, Elinor. I recognize aspects of my nature that I must change — the desire to not want to push/press too hard, put people out, etc., as well as a fear of the sales process — all which probably affect my opportunities and sales. Trying to change this will be interesting!

I appreciate your wonderful book, your experiences and advice, Elinor! Thank you so much.”
