Close More Sales: Tip #69

Do you have time for just one more contact?

Earlier this week, I wrote that finding solid prospects is a numbers game. Today, I recognized a long forgotten tip in connection with the numbers.

Associates and I are actively seeking to get word out about our Career & Business Resource Fair on March 14 in Petaluma CA. We are securing vendors and sponsors to help defray the cost of our community service project. You can take a peek at CareerBizResource.com

I kept my promise today of delivering our flyers to retail and corporate sites. For the most part, it was an unexciting outing and I wasn’t convinced it was good use of my time. But then I stumbled upon the downtown association which was my very last call. And voila, I had a great day!

Reviewing today’s activities, I recalled a trainer from early in my sales career who advised we make just one more call after we believe we did everything possible for the day. The one extra call makes all the difference. Years later, it still holds true.

My advice is to keep up your sales and marketing efforts, continue to build those relationships and most importantly, keep a positive mindset. You will find business development becomes a whole lot easier, you will close more sales, and you will be enjoying the Smooth Sale!
