Attract the Right Job or Clientele:

Real Estate Practices Teach Best Sales and Job Hunt Strategies

If you have ever searched for a new home, you most likely will recall both the preparation and the stress involved in the process.  This is very similar to the job hunt or seeking the right clientele.  Putting a little humor to a serious subject sometimes helps to gain the wider perspective.

Priorities

Finding a home requires knowing you priorities, some of which include the price, desired area, and style of home.   The job hunt requires knowing your limits for commute, reasonable range of salary, and the style or type of work that suits you best.  As for entrepreneurs, it begins with selecting the type of clientele with which you most desire to work, and deciding where and how will you find the most reward.

Curb Appeal

Approaching the street of the selected property, you may well have an intuitive feel of whether the home will suit you or not.  Likewise, profile pictures and information shared online serves to attract recruiters and potential clientele.  A warm smile seen in the picture welcomes viewers to seek out the information they need and want.

Staging

Shakespeare said it best, “All the world is a stage, and each must play his part.”  Homes sell more rapidly when they are properly staged.  As far as interviewing with prospective employers or meeting with prospective clients goes, staging has a different meaning, because the key is to be truthful and move with integrity.  The staging takes place in your preparation in order to easily overcome objections with a smile all the while.  Your demeanor speaks volumes as to what type of employee or service provider you might be in the future.

Extras

New home sellers sometimes throw in free upgrades to get their prospective buyers to commit to purchasing.  This is a subtle form of negotiation. You need to be prepared to know exactly what will seal the deal for you in any of the scenarios; home buying, career change or acquiring a client.

Agreements

Buying a house requires much paperwork and sometimes feels as if one is signing their life away.  But it’s important to understand the financial details involved – all of them.

Similarly, read everything in detail and ask questions on those items you do not understand, when it comes to authorizing an employment contract.  As a seller to a client, you might have your own agreement to present, and it is your duty to go through it point by point, and then ask for questions.  Avoiding misunderstanding helps to avoid court in the future.

Following these guidelines should serve to make whichever transition you are facing, a bit easier, and a bit closer to the Smooth Sale!
