Helaine is a certified international group facilitator, eco-spiritual counselor and Universal Life Minister. She holds a doctoral degree in Human Sciences and a Masters in developmental psychology, and is Co-director of the LEAP – Life Empowerment Action Program.
Helaine’s life passion is to create a transformational instrument for bringing about spiritual consciousness and awareness by weaving the strands between compassionate listening, non-violent social action and healing storytelling. Elinor began Smooth Sale to help aspiring business and salespeople avoid the difficult learning curve by sharing her proven relationship selling techniques.
Horrified by her treatment in the first male-dominated sales office after spending 15 years as a stay-at-home wife and mother, Elinor set out to prove she could indeed sell.
In that first office there was no training, no one spoke to Elinor, she was attempting to sell an unknown brand of copier door-to-door and she had never sold before. During those early and lonely months, Elinor stumbled onto an unknown concept of the time – building relationships first will bring in larger sales and more repeat business than those of an ego driven salesperson. Within four months, Elinor became the top producer of the office and held that title throughout most of her corporate sales career.
