Do you work with associates you trust without question?  Are your peers willing to promote you without being asked and do they routinely offer sound advice?  Are you all shooting for similar stars to take your businesses?

These are some of the questions that should be routinely visited as you make plans with others.  Knowing your own personal brand first will help bring about good word of mouth, like minded associates and a credible branding effort.  All of these will work in unison to attract a referring clientele as well as new opportunities.

For example, it is to my delight that I am participating in the Motivational Marathon.  Each one of us (46 speakers in 9 days) are delivering as much information as possible into our allotted 45 minutes and our Q&A afterward.  Accordingly new collaborative ideas are coming forth because we all view delivering our best as a must.  FYI – I will be sharing my unique perspective on sales and business development this Thursday at 10:00 a.m. PT.   All calls are being recorded for replay and cost you nothing.  Our passion is to motivate and help you excel in 2012.

Anticipating the New Year

My desk is a mess!  How about email, the long to-do list that never got done and all of the people who asked to be contacted but never were?

While these thoughts are demotivating, how good we will all feel when we tend to tidying up what was once a mess!  Consider discarding those teensy pieces of paper with names and phone numbers written on them but most likely will never be called; the to-do lists that are now out of date; and the  files on your computer awaiting deletion.

By taking the slower last couple days of the year to clean up everywhere, you will be ready to roll full steam ahead the first working day of the New Year.  In the process of moving from disarray to tidiness comes clear thinking as to the path you truly wish to take.  Once on this enlightened path, new ideas for additional products and services come your way to attract wider audiences.

Are  your goals to attract increased prospects for employment or business, opportunity for collaboration or creating a brand new project that will gain you much recognition?  Envision where you wish to be headed and create the plan to begin putting it in place.  Get the help you need for the time consuming or difficult tasks and work on building confidence so that you possess the belief you will be successful.
