Attract the Right Job or Clientele

Undertaking new projects and advancing a career will have many wondering if they made the right choice. Restless nights are the norm when trying to predict how it will all work out. The philosophy of one day at a time is the best way to handle the uncertainty.

My Story

Smooth Sale has been developing over the years. Recent articles, tweets, and blogs suggested that my next move should be to create an online community. By now my audience is clearly defined as those in the first five years of their sales profession or entrepreneurship. According to the writing, I have everything needed already in place.

The one problem I faced is that of learning a new system and new technology. Creating products and services are the fun pieces for me, but I do not find fun in dealing with software new to me. As a couple of issues arose, I found myself in the phase of sleepless nights, or my wake-up call!

By dealing with the dreaded issues, I am now able to focus on learning and implementing the newer strategies. Enthusiasm is at an all-time high as I am looking forward to helping members of the Smooth Sale Community achieve success. Looking forward to what I may accomplish each day is the best sign that I’m back on the right path.

The Smooth Sale Community is for those people in the first five years of their sales profession or entrepreneurship. The learning curve is steep during this time, and so the program was created to help build confidence, provide insight to the better strategies, and build community support. 

Your Story

As we undertake new projects or careers, fear sometimes gets in the way. The question becomes are you fearful because it doesn’t feel quite right, or because there is much to learn? Your answer will determine the motivation behind it all and whether you will get past the fear. Questions for you:

  1. Are you concerned about the project being the right fit?
  2. Do you need help but don’t know where to turn?
  3. Are you motivated each morning to continue learning?

Should you have answered ‘yes’ to the first question, then give due consideration to finding a replacement. Otherwise, you will hold yourself back from momentum. The answer to the second question should be reckoned with quickly. Finding the right help will move you away from feeling stuck and onto an ideal footing. Do research for the better help, check reviews and ask peers for their recommendations.

The ideal is to have answered ‘yes’ to question three. You feel motivated every morning to continue on your journey of learning, and implementing the best of what you find. The most telling sign is when you excitedly share your news with your friends and colleagues. Enthusiasm is the best sign that you are on the right path.

Sales Tips
  1. Question why you feel stopped in your tracks.
  2. Determine whether you need to leave a project or fix what isn’t right.
  3. Before exiting from a project, create a replacement.
  4. Solidify a plan for moving forward with the replacement.
  5. Create a defined program for fixing the issues.
  6. Notice if your sleep pattern improves.
  7. Check your motivation and enthusiasm levels.
  8. Share your news with peers.
  9. Begin the process of sharing and branding your work.
  10. Celebrate success!
