Attract the Right Job or Clientele:
Turn Potential Conflict Into Opportunity

It doesn’t matter which mode of communication we use, there will always be someone who doesn’t understand what we are saying or doing.  Their response may be a bit snippy to the point where it could end the relationship.  Given that’s not the ideal scenario, an improved outcome would be to turn the situation around in order to remain on a good footing;  doing so requires sales strategies.

Acknowledge Issue

It’s important to recognize that it doesn’t matter with whom the fault lies, but rather to acknowledge the mishap.  Excuses are never good enough.  The best way to do begin is to apologize, and then to be specific by being on point with the apology.

Perspective

Do your best to understand the other person’s point of view.  Why did they react the way they did?  Ask for them to help you improve understanding so that you may once again get onto neutral ground.  Talk it out in a friendly manner.

Explain

Once you uncover the other person’s thinking and understand their perspective, it will be far easier to resolve the issue.  On occasion an explanation, but not an excuse, will help alleviate the situation.  In fact, when you supply the reasoning in an easy-going and friendly manner, you just might produce a good laugh, and then you are back to being friends ready to move forward.

Confirm

Now that the two of you understand where each is coming from, ask the question of whether they are ready to move forward.  Most of the time, the other party will have witnessed your sincerity in wanting to ensure satisfaction.  This is a key indicator of future customer service to be delivered well as they become a client.  The trust build,s and usually all is forgiven and a stronger relationship is forged.

Checks and Balances

Making a sale embraces the idea of checks and balances to ensure everyone is on the same page.  Everyone is treated with equal importance.  This is the only way you will effectively proceed together.  Over the course of time, you build the long-term relationship. 

The ability to communicate in this style serves to build a reputable personal brand that then encourages a returning and referring clientele known as the Smooth Sale!
